It takes time to get back to the same place

The problem with knowledge is that we have to bring ourselves into knowing. There is no way of knowledge transfer in the world. Sure, we can read, watch, or listen to information, but information is not knowledge. It may be the vehicle for knowledge, but the two are completely different. Knowing means it becomes part of us.

A person we love may tell us something that is meant to save us time. This is especially true of the spiritual path. Spiritual texts are full of warnings and tips. Most people don’t heed them, however, because they don’t even know what the warnings mean! Only by making the mistake do we understand what was meant originally.

It takes time to realize what a person actually meant. Understanding only happens in retrospect. We have to undertake the entire journey. So, why feel guilty or disheartened. It will happen: is that not miracle or gift enough?

Story Time

In my personal life, I think I didn’t understand what “life is an illusion” meant. I heard it from many places: Gurbani, CWG, Khalsa Ji, etc. But I couldn’t know what that meant until I actually started to walk the path in December 2025. I started walking and yet I was still trying to make something of myself; I wanted enlightenment. It wasn’t until August 2026 that the message fully went through.
