everything already exists

[I’m writing this note from the perspective of learning, but it can be extended everywhere.]

Every answer and skill already exists. To begin with: if it did not, we would not be seeking it out.

We also see this when we experience what we call learning. It is a flash. We have this moment where we go from unknowning to knowing. No matter how long the lead-up, no matter what specific actions were required to get there, learning is a momentary phenomenon. What was seemingly not there appears.

Practice (i.e., putting in time) serves us merely to get to that point. And often, learning of a larger skill or concept is a spiral staircase of smaller learnings, smaller revelations that build up.
