It is an illusion
Maharaj makes it very clear in every spiritual work that the world is an illusion. The illusion has a purpose, but we often forget that it is an illusion never the less.
For example, Maharaja places a lot of emphasis on the fact that the illusion allows us to choose who we wish to be. He encourages us to continually ask ourselves: “who do I want to be?”
This is important, but our mind places the emphasis on the wrong place. It’s like the dot and whiteboard story that Khalsa Ji reminds us of. It Is the fact that it is all an illusion that allows us to choose. So, be conscious but remember why you are conscious.
